A WOW moment for Cussons Mum & Me

We are proud to announce our new Research Fellowship where we will be providing sponsorship to support a midwife through a PhD.

We are working in partnership with the Royal College of Midwives and Wellbeing of Women (a charity dedicated to improving the health of women and babies across the UK), to provide financial support of £60,000 to enable a midwife to undertake a PhD, with recruitment starting this month.

We’re passionate and committed to the continued improvement in the health of mums throughout the world and the chosen candidate will begin their sponsored PhD study in September 2014 – we’re excited to see who they will be!

Brandon Leigh, PZ Cussons Group Chief Financial Officer, said “Cussons Mum & Me is proud to be sponsoring the Royal College of Midwives and Wellbeing of Women who are working in partnership to provide research training grants for midwives.

“We are delighted to be supporting a midwife by funding their PHD. PZ Cusson’s global positioning is around caring for the health of women all around the world, and Cussons Mum & Me knows how crucial midwives are when it comes to supporting women through all the ups and downs of pregnancy and early motherhood.”

Professor Cathy Warwick, General Secretary of The Royal College of Midwives commented, “The Cussons Mum & Me Research Fellowship is a fantastic opportunity for a midwife to further their studies and provide greater care to patients. Our commitment to the care of women is central to our organisation and we are looking forward to working in association with a brand who shares this philosophy.”
